Welcome to my new website !

Welcome to my new website !

A little about me....

Hi, I'm Sue Holton, I live in the extreme South East of England with my husband Mike and one of our two adult sons, Ross. Our other son, Jason has recently moved into a flat with his girlfriend Sarah. Mike and I are both keen music fans and amateur photographers, and this multi purpose website has been designed to combine and showcase our Work and Leisure interests.

In 2005 I  took a Certificate of Higher Education course in European Business at Canterbury Christ Church University which I passed with Distinction. Since then I have worked for the University as an IT Assistant for three years until the courses ended. This involved working with adults on similar courses to help them improve their IT skills. For the last year I've been working at the Defence Fire Training & Development Centre, unfortunately government cutbacks meant they were unable to renew my contract.  This gives me more time to do what I enjoy most, music, photos and websites.

I am lucky enough to be able to combine my passion for music with work in several ways and I am currently devoting more time to my website work. I work with Boston company Slab500 to set up and run websites - my first was for acoustic guitarist Gordon Giltrap.

The success of the new Gordon Giltrap website led on to requests from other artists and businesses to set up sites for them and I have since completed several others using the same system. (See the Work pages for more info) I thought it about time that I moved my own site over to Slab too, hence this new site.

Mike and I especially love acoustic guitar music and Celtic style fiddle playing, so our friends Gordon Giltrap, Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby, Strawbs, Keith Pearson's Coup De Grass and Ian Cutler ( Hot Rats ) will no doubt feature heavily in the Leisure pages as the site grows.

I am the booking agent for Double Vision, for Gordon Giltrap's solo work in Scotland and Ireland and for exclusive private concerts by Gordon Giltrap and Raymond Burley. Again, go to the Work Module for more information.

Elsewhere on the site you will find a selection of my photos in the Photo Gallery and the stories behind them. The Leisure module is the fun part of the site, aimed at friends, family, and other fans of the musicians featured,  there is something there for everyone, and everyone is welcome ! The site is always changing, so visit often to see what's new.

In the meantime - enjoy your visit, leave a message in my guestbook or via the Contact form, subscribe to my mailing list and come back soon !
Cheers
Sue
